Welcome to the source of my intruige--or rather, the realm of my fanaticism: rhizome. This section asorbs itself with Deleuze and Guattari's Rhizome, as conceptualized in their massive A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia. The exerpt above serves as a succinct summary of Deleuze and Guattari's treatise, but cannot hope to imply or depict the full scope or richness of A Thousand Plateaus's Introduction. The above encapsulates the issues at the root of my own fascination: alinearity, relativity, texuality, and associative endlessness--the same fundamental issues that fuel my interest in the rhetorical dimensions of hypertext.

At present, this section offers two paths at its entrance--one to my own essay on hypertext, rhetoric and the rhizome, and the other leads to the Rhizome Discussion Forum--though it cannot remain limited to those intial forks, by definition. Its growth is both my expectation and ambition, and to this edgeless end, I welcome your suggestions and feedback.  

      Reading the Rhizome is my hypertextual adaptation and revision of Hypertext and Hypermedia: Toward a Rhizorhetorical Investigation of Communication. The process of this adaptation has proved more challenging and vexing than I originally anticipated, and I intend to detail those trials and tribulations here in the near future, to whatever extent they may prove informative, curious, or simply amusing.
    The essay is also linked to a discussion forum; it is my hope that you will submit your comments, criticism, and questions to the forum, as I am not only eager for feedback, but would like to see my own work serve as a departure point or reference for future dialogs on the subject of hypertext.  

      The Rhizome Discussion Forum is a bulletin-board/newsgroup type of discussion group open to anyone who wishes to participate in an ongoing discussion of Deleuze and Guattari's Rhizome. I encourage you to post your own questions, rebuttals, and criticism without hesitation. As with all of the discussion forums contained by this site, I allow participants to remain anonymous, though I strongly recommend that you at least provide accurate Email information, so that you might successfully make connections here which will prove valuable to you and other participants in the future.
